Okay so I’m freaking out. 🥲 I found thrips on my Adansonii and this is the first time I’m ever dealing with pests. I was searching my plants like a madwoman last night. I ordered Captain Jacks dead bug and Bonide systemic houseplant insect control…. I took two plants completely out of their nursery pots and soaked them completely in water, Insecticide, a little bit of alcohol and Peppermint Castile soap… For a couple of the plants I used a spray bottle with Neem Oil, Alcohol and Peppermint Castile Soap and sprayed the leaves front and back and did the Granules. For the rest of my plants, I sprayed the leaves with the captain Jacks and the top layer of soil and then added the Granules to the top layer of soil. I wiped all the leaves front and back after using the Captain Jacks. These are all the plants below that I did and they’re “Quarantined” in my bathroom that has no window so I have a grow light not on full capacity but just so they can have light… Can someone let me know if I’m doing this right?! 😭 and how long they would need to stay away from their homes? lol I have seen several different ways of doing it which I think is why I decided to try a few different ways…. Also just being afraid lol. Thank you to anyone who actually takes the time to read this and respond to this overwhelmed plant mom. 💕
