    I’d say a foe, I think that’s a grasshopper and they like hibiscus leaves. Hope that helps.

    You can apply a garlic spray, they hate the smell and taste. Pyrethrum is a natural insecticide that can help. Good luck.

      Definitely not there is no extension of the upper part (where the thorax, wings, and head would be) and the abdomen, I would assume the cailfera species. Or not, I could be yapping, but it’s definitely not a praying mantis.
