0 Me gustaFollowing this post. My black velvet has developed some sort of rotting wet marks as well. I’m curious the cause.

A quick Google search said they were “blisters” of water from being over watered.
2 Me gustaAlocasias don’t like wet leaves, it causes them to develop fungal/bacterial infections. I think this was caused by water sitting directly on the leaves. If it was overwatered the leaves would turn yellow. To increase humidity use a humidifier instead of misting.
2 Me gustaThank you that makes sense, I was misting every 3 days

I literally never heard anyone saying they mist their plants 3 times a week that is no good

I understand one thing I learned is plants should never be on a schedule it can help you give you an idea of when to start paying attention to the soil but majority of plants I wait for completely dry

Better to just get a humidifier

And just a helpful tip misting indoor plants can promote fungus and rotting especially if it doesn’t dry fast enough if you can get a humidifier that would be better humidity helps with growth
