Help! I took my succulents from my bedroom to outside expecting they would like the sunshine. But now they’re sunburnt 😭 Is there any saving them? I plucked off brown leaves, which left the empty space in the pot.

If you bring an outside plant and stick it into full sun, it will get sunburned. They need to be moved into full sun gradually over the course of a couple weeks. You can pluck off the old leaves and it should grow back if it’s in the right environment.

I have kept them in the shade for a few weeks and now they’re getting cool morning sun and I’ve been watering them based on Planta recommendations. When is it time to move them into direct sun?

2/2 in fact they’ve only gotten worse since they’ve been outside

I wouldn’t move them back into direct sun until they start looking better. Let them adjust to the indirect light first. I would wait until new leaves start growing, which could take a while

And judging from the picture, the one on the right looks like it’s toast 😭 although the one on the left looks like it still has some good leaves

I wouldn’t water according to planta, I’d use a wooden skewer or chopstick and test the soil that way to make sure it’s dry all the way down, also I’ve heard good things about putting them into more shallow of pots for their roots
