With watermelon peps because each leaf has its own stem, this method does not work very well. In the past I grew plants by cutting across the leaf and then placing the cut end into the soil. I think it took a long time though for plants to develop. Probably a couple months. I’m sure yo can research it to find out for sure.
1 likeI may just scrap this and try the leaf attempt, thank you
0 likesPeps can be difficult. In the past, I would usually do divisions. I had a Frost that I was dividing a couple times a year. I currently have some stem cuttings in water from my pep Hope. They are growing roots but it has been slow. Probably about a month so far. I decided to give it a go because I trim the Hope regularly and it’s a beautiful plant, so I want another.
1 likeyes, but they take significantly longer. they must develop a new growth point before actually putting out new leaves, which takes a long time- if you're REALLY unlucky, some of them take up to a year before you see another leaf. i doubt it'll be that long for this one but just so you know.
