I’m looking after this plant and have noticed these brown spots on one leaf. I’ve checked the rest of the plant and it seems fine. They look rounded and fuzzy, does anyone know what they are?

It’s called fern sori. They contain clusters of spores (sporangia) that ferns use to reproduce. 🪴🍀

Ahhh! Thank you, I was worried I was going to have to sort a treatment plan 😅

If you feel like propagating those: sterilize a jar that can seal airtight. Put soil (with high peat content) in it. Boil some water, and while it's still boiling, wet the soil (this will sterilize the soil) reseal it, and let it cool. Harvest the spores (you can kind of scrape or rub them off onto a sheet of paper, then use the paper to move them), open the jar, and sprinkle the spores in as evenly as you can manage. Reseal the jar and leave it somewhere that gets some light. You should start to see green after like a month. It'll go through a few different reproductive stages, and eventually you'll get more baby ferns than you know what to do with 😀

Do you need to open the jar periodically to allow air exchange? Or keep it shut until the spores germinate?

I'm not sure. Early on, they're so small that they're not going to use up the air, so I'd prioritize keeping it sterile at least until you see green. Keeping it closed also keeps humidity at 100%, you should see condensation on the sides. They will need acclimated to non-sterile conditions at some point, so start by just cracking the lid and work up towards giving them fresh air (i use a greenhouse fan.) I forgot to sterilize my soil so i had to open it early a few times to help kill off a mold bloom. Mine has been getting fresh air about once every other week. Ferns are also really weird compared to other plants; wait until you see fiddleheads before you divide and pot them
