Halp! The leaves on my money tree are starting to look like this 🥴 I thought I may be overwatering, so I reduced watering frequency but it’s not getting any better. Any tips?

How long have you had it? Im wondering if the trunked are tied together in the soil? Sometimes they come that way when purchased

I’ve had it for well over a year… and haven’t repotted, so it may be the case… I’ll check on that. Thank you!

Mine does the same thing and eventually all the leaves died and it grew new leaves that are stronger then the 1st leaves. So maybe thats happening to yours. Idk why it did that though.

I got mine about 9 months ago and repotted it about 4 months ago. I didn’t notice the bottom was taped together with electrical tape. Thought something was wrong a few weeks later so took it out of soil again, root rot had started but I caught it in time and noticed the tape. Removed the tape and moisture was being held under it. Put it in in much smaller pot with cactus soil because other soil wasn’t drying out good after watering.

Update: I felt down into the soil, and sure enough, the trunks were being strangled by rubber bands that I hadn’t removed on the first potting. I cut them out to let the trunks breathe, then I gently pulled off the dry/yellowing leaves. I’m gonna give it a week or two to recover then will repot in cactus soil to ensure that it gets fully dry between waterings. Thanks all for your help and advice!
