Can anyone tell me why my calathea is yellowing and brown tips. I water with rain water only when it looks droopy and I use a meter gauge

sometimes brown tips are par for the course with calathea — just accepting that is freeing 😂 however, you could try increasing humidity!

i agree the air in your home is probably too dry. the easiest way to fix this is to place the plant under a cloche, in a terrarium or humidity cabinet, or some sort of greenhouse. you could also consider getting a humidifier. i would definitely recommend purchasing a thermo-hygrometer, it is a small device that measures the temperature and humidity. fancier ones connect to bluetooth and wifi. this one was $35usd on amazon.
0 LikesTy for all your input, I had it outside ( Florida ) and thought it might be too hot, so I moved it indoors and it got worse. So I moved it back outside to the screened patio, guess I should mist it every day 🤦🏻♀️
