Everytime a new leaf grows the oldest leaf dies. I've already lost one original leaf and this one is starting to brown idk what to do!!! She came water logged soil I changed the soil and she grew new leaves but I think I need to keep her soil wet instead of letting her dry out fully?

Alocasias like the soil to never fully dry out (so they need both excellent drainage and moisture retention.) You could also probably downsize the pot; these like a tight fit. The brown spots may just be sunburns; variegation is sensitive to that, so make its light a bit less direct

If trying to dry out soil quickly (which I unfortunately learned from over watering plants), I used maybe a 3 inch stick to put holes in the soil. Also if you have a fan, putting it facing to the plant at the lowest setting. I thought I was going to lose my Thai Monstera, but this worked like a charm for me. After 2 days the soil was dried out but retained some moisture! Gave me a heart attack trying to save my guy. I’m not sure if this works with all plants, but no damage from what I saw. Good luck! 🍀👍
