Hi there. I got a few plants on clearance from my local garden center. This rubber plant is one of them and I’m really hoping to nurse her back to health. All of the spots etc came when I got her. So far I have repotted her in organic soil with perlite. Added a watering spike to hopefully keep myself from over watering. I tested out neem oil on a leaf yesterday and all seemed to go well so might add that. I’m a novice plant mama and this is my first rubber plant. Anyone have any extra advice or thoughts of how I can care for her? Thanks so much!

Make sure you give it bright indirect light. I would definitely give it a humidifier or place it on a pebble tray to make sure the humidity stays high. Do not move it from spot to spot, find a good location in your home and leave it. I have my burgundy rubber plant in a self watering pot. However, I check it still with my soil moisture meter before I refill the reservoir. Keep your leaves free from dust so it can get good photosynthesis to aide in growth. I use a wet paper towel then spray each leaf with the neem oil and wipe them off front and back. This kills two birds with one stone as they say, it’s cleaning your foliage as well as fighting off pest. I fertilize it with ficus plant food I had originally ordered for a fiddle leaf fig in which I killed and will NEVER purchase again 😏👺😂

That leaf that’s burnt i would go ahead and prune it off, this will keep good oxygen flow for the rest of your plant.

Consider putting a bamboo stick or a chopstick at the base to aide in growth straight up and eliminate the leaning
