I've never had a Monstera before and I bought this one on sale. The floppy leaf was already this light green color and it was pretty root-bound. I repotted it and wanted to know if I need to cut this leaf off or just leave it and see how it goes? I propped it up on the other leaves.

The light green leaf is actually brand new! When new monstera leaves unfurl they start out floppy/light colored. It will harden and get darker soon, don’t worry! ❤️

Oh, I thought because it already had the slits on the leaf it was an older leaf. I need to do more research. Thank you!

The fenestrations are there when the leaf unfurls, they don’t get them after it’s already produced the leaf. 😊 That’s a lovely new leaf! I’m jelly!
