Any idea what’s going with this monstera? I brought it home about a month ago and it’s started browning. It gets bright, indirect western sun. Still getting new growth…dr plants suggested overwatering maybe??? What do you all think?

It either needs more water or has a fungal infection. If it’s constantly wet and the soil never drys between watering its fungal. If not then I suggest watering it more often.

But it looks to be more like a fungal infection

Just don’t water it again till the soil drys out. You could try repotting it so the roots have dry soil as well. I would wait maybe 2 days till you water it if repotting. And then after that only water it once a week and only if you’re sure the top of the soil is dry before watering again.

It just looks like either “frost burn” or a combination of too much light at a time of accumulation to different growing conditions??
