Help…new terrarium has mold growing. I made the adorable one on Sunday. It’s Wednesday and this mold is growing. I put activated charcoal in, indoor soil and store bought rocks. I used plant cuttings from my collection, all healthy. What happened? Can I fix it or should I scrap it and start over? *hopefully you can see the white fuzz in pic from the top. Other pic is from Sunday before fungus or mold appeared.

Mold blooms are pretty common in the first week—I’d leave it open and make sure there’s decent airflow… if it doesn’t clear up in a couple weeks, then you may want to sprinkle cinnamon in (not as much as I did the first time, yikes) or dilute hydrogen peroxide WAY down and water with that.

Thank you! I had it closed but will open it.

As a longer term solution, I’ve had good luck using springtails to keep mold away/in check in terraria. If it’s within your budget that may be something else to consider. :)
