i have been fighting with this plant for so long it was growing shriveled leaves and then i finally got it to grow big beautiful leaves again and it looked really happy for about 2 months i did have it outside and now it is inside due to the temp dropping where i am. after about a month of it being happy inside these circles have started showing up on these leaves and it seems like some kind of disease i have hacked off a bunch of them because i am afraid of it spreading my tree looks a lot more barren but i don’t know what to do it has been spreading and i don’t want it to take out the whole plant. please help

The spots you’re seeing are not a contagious disease. They’re most likely from environmental stress after the plant was moved from outside to inside. When a plant adjusts to a new light level or humidity, the older leaves can develop tan or pale patches like this. It can also happen if the watering pattern changed (especially watering more after bringing it indoors). The important thing is that this does not spread through the plant like a disease, so you don’t need to remove the whole tree or keep cutting off leaves unless they’re heavily damaged. Removing too many leaves can actually stress the plant even more. Do this to help it recover: Give it bright, indirect light (no strong direct sun indoors). Water only when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry. Make sure the pot has drainage and the plant isn’t sitting in water. Avoid moving it around or changing its environment too often. If you want to be safe, check the underside of the leaves for tiny bugs (thrips/mites), but the pattern here looks more like stress than pests. The damaged areas won’t heal, but new growth will look normal once conditions are stable. You’re doing a good job, this plant has already shown it can bounce back. Just stabilize watering and light and it will keep growing.
