Autumn

This is my peppermint herb plant. I bought it and repotted it a couple months ago. It’s been declining for a while since I noticed there were some bugs in it. I think they may be harmful to the plant because the leaves are browning and shriveling, plus some stems were shriveling from the roots. I found lots of aphid-looking bugs on the majority of the plant (on the stem and bottom of leaves) and that’s where it seemed to be failing. I have also been spraying it with neem oil, and I’m not sure that’s helping. Also, in the soil are teeny tiny white bugs crawling around everywhere plus one or two bugs that look like gnats. There appears to be black sooty mold on the leaves in addition to those white spots. How do I save it? Or is it beyond saving? Thanks!

A healthy pest-control solution could be sprinkling a bit of cinnamon powder over the soil, it deters several insects as they can’t stand the smell and contains anti fungal properties. Irrelevant fun fact: Add some to your moisturiser to deter/minimalise insect bites this summer :)
