On my mom’s begonia, can someone help identify please?? She’s been quarantined until we know what’s happening, but just noticed these spots mold-like spots :/

    It sounds like a fungal problem. Maybe powdery mildew. But it’s hard to tell from your pictures. Usually, white mold-like substance on your Begonia leaf is likely powdery mildew. This fungal infection appears as white or nearly white spots or blotches that resemble fine powder. It is caused by the fungus Oidium begoniae, which specifically infects begonias and can spread easily between plants. To manage powdery mildew: Improve air circulation around the plant. Avoid overhead watering to keep leaves dry. Remove infected leaves to reduce spread. Consider using organic fungicides if the problem persists. Good luck and keep us informed on how it goes. .

      I have no idea what this is? My protocol is if it look suspicious hit it up with Neem oil, if it doesn’t respond to that, get a sulpher based anti-fungal. Check the roots as well in case that stuff is surrounding your roots…
