The medium looks compact and shot, I don’t think it’s the webbing killing your orchid. It looks like it’s time to repot it.

I recommend getting a clear pot with lots of holes and using orchid bark chips. They need lots of air flow and really good drainage. When you water, submerge the roots for 5 minutes every 7-10 days or when the roots are silver. I recommend joining the Orchid Oasis group on this app, there’s lots of knowledgeable members who can give you great advice.

I soak mine in tepid water, apparently the like this best and I had the best bloom for months and months last year from this.

Yes mine love it a little warm and they’re constantly putting out new leaves and roots.
