Is this transplant shock? I received my syngonium in a clear plastic pot about 3 weeks ago, and noticed within a few days that the largest root was rotting. I took care of that and repot it into better draining soil/this pot yesterday. The roots were growing back nicely but I woke up to it all droopy. Any advice?

If it has root rot and you took care of it with all measures I would give it some time to bounce back, my monstera took a few weeks 😅

Thank you! Yeah it seemed to be recovering fine from the rot, there were lots of new roots popping out. Patience is always the hardest part lol

It is lol especially when you don’t know if you’ve completely fixed the problem haha. I’d say it’s definitely a waiting game here unless you see other signs of distress 😁

Did you water it after the repot? That’s an important step even for plants suffering from rot they need a little water to settle in with less stress. If you did then yes it’s probably repot shock or loss of root that it needs to bounce back from.

I actually waited about half a day to water it bc I was nervous abt rot, so that might’ve had something to do with it! Ill just leave it alone for a while and see if it bounces back.

Repot shock destroyed one of my best. Now it’s sad and ugly.

I hope both of our plants find a way to recover then!☹️
