I just noticed that the aloe plant I got 2 weeks ago has this brown leaf. I’ve been following the planta watering guide and the auto diagnose suggests under watering but I’m not entirely confident that’s the case. For context I leave the aloe in a north facing window that’s part shade and watered it 9 days ago with its next water being in 3 days. The soil is very dry so I might do it sooner but I wanted to see what yall said.

Personally I think you should check the soil every couple days, and if it’s extremely dry, you should water it. But I’m not very experienced with aloe, so I might recommend asking others first.

If the more watering helps the leaf, you should use the custom watering (I think that’s a feature) so it’s easier to keep track.

I check my plants whenever the plants app says I need to water them, however, most of the time, I find that my plants are still wet or damp when Plants says they need water, so usually, I end up snoozing the notification at least 2 to 3 times before actually watering my plants again. I wait until the soil is dry. Also, I water my aloe about once every three weeks and I keep it outside in my porch, where it gets plenary of light, wind, moisture, etc.
