I was checking out my Venus fly trap when I noticed a lot of very tiny silver bugs. Are these springtails or soil mites? I know they are hard to see in the photo (circled in red for reference). They did only seem to be climbing throughout the soil and avoiding the plant.

Definitely springtails. They'll help prevent mold for you

Yes, those are spring tails. They are harmless. They are staying away from the Venus fly trap because they know once they walk into it they have sealed their fate

I hadn’t looked too closely at it in a while so when I saw a bunch of tiny bugs I panicked until I noticed them steering clear of my Venus fly trap (Maurice) lol
