How do I get rid of the fungus gnats in my plants
Well you’re on the right path using sticky trap. You can use Mosquito bits. I’ve used it myself and it works!

1 mi piaceI water my plants with an 1 part 3% peroxide to 4 parts water mix and that will kill off eggs and I have those same sticky traps as well ass the zeevo plug ins for adults and I have all my stuff under control now. I prefer not to use pesticides myself but mosquito bits or systemic granuals are a an option if you aren’t against pesticides
1 mi piaceI don’t have hydrogen peroxide right now. I tried neem oil mixed with water do you think that would help ?
0 Mi piaceI’ve tried Neem Oil…it doesn’t work unfortunately. Last resort if you don’t want to use pesticides like Mosquito Bits, replace the soil. I’ve done that too, but it’s a hassle.
0 Mi piaceNeem doesn’t seem to work for me. Peroxide is like a dollar a container at Walmart though so it’s a pesticide feee affordable option. Even changing the soil won’t help that much because fungus gnats can stay dormant for a long time in the soil.
1 mi piaceNot even changing the soil?! Jeez… I’ll purchase peroxide one of these days in the event there that will happen to me. How would I be to administer that?
1 mi piaceI just make the mix is 1 part peroxide to 4 parts water in my regular watering can and water my plants with it. Changing the soil can help but fungus gnats are a pain luckily they don’t hurt the plant they’re just nuisense. The zeevo plugins are a huge help too, little big on the price rot side for the device but the off brand refills are fairly cheap.
0 Mi piaceDiatomaceous earth is another natural remedy but I find that it’s annoying. It had to be reapplied everytime you water otherwise it doesn’t work and it also look very unappealing. And it won’t kill eggs just live adults.
