What would cause this new leaf to die before fully unfurling? Pretty sure this is a lemon lime heart leaf philodendron.

RhonaThis plant can get confused. You actually State it’s a lemon lime, but it looks like you have listed as a neon Pothos. The lemon lime is a very finicky plant. The Pothos is not. So definitely check on your app to see what type of plant it is. This plant definitely needs a lot of morning light. Not a lot of direct light. Maybe for a couple of hours say a north east facing window. But if it’s in a room that’s full of light all day long it’s perfect. That’s what could be happening to that. Have you also tried to make sure there’s a little fertilizer or plant food in your water?

I’ve posted about this plant before, definitely a lemon lime philo and not a pothos, but I don’t know how to retroactively change the plant in the app besides deleting it and manually adding in all my watering, fertilizing and misting notes and photos.

You can change the plant type, use settings (cog wheel at top right of plant page), scroll down to plant type. That will keep all history.
