Usually I’m pretty good at deducing or looking up what’s wrong with my plants, but this time I’m stumped. I’m unsure why my marble pothos is browning on the leaves as well as the stem. On the leaves, most of the browning is on the white portions. When the stem browns, it begins to spread up the section and kills it, it happened once before further down the stem so cut the section off so it wouldn’t spread. Since it came back despite me cutting the section off, I thought it might be root rot (despite the other pothos in the pot being fine). However, the roots have new growth and look completely healthy, if a little root bound. I also don’t fertilize very much, and don’t use any silica fertilizer despite it being a variegated plant (though I plan on getting some soon). Could this be what’s causing the plant to brown (again, since it’s mostly on the variegated portions of the leaves)? There’s also no pests that I can find either. Any thoughts on what’s happening, or what I should be searching to learn more about this issue would be greatly appreciated 🙏 I’d like to fully understand what’s going on before I try chopping up the vine to save at least part of the plant. Below I’ve provided images of the browning leaves, the blackening stem, and the plants roots

It can be used to keep the variegated portions of your plant healthier and help promote more variegation in plants that have it. I’m still doing my research on it, so I don’t have any brand recommendations or anything. But I know lots of people use them on their montera albo because otherwise they have trouble keeping the white parts of their leaves alive, while the green parts seem fine. Only thing that really separates my situation from that is the blackening stem. I’ve been using different search terms and it seems like my plant has a bacterial or fungal infection that isn’t root rot 💀
