Just got this grape hyacinth a week ago, only re potted it today in fox farms soil watered and gave it nutrients. Its leaves have been turning yellow and started to droop, today the flower stems started to droop. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, I’ve been watering every other day and it’s in good light.

Hyacinths are bulbs and therefor do not respond kindly to movement while in bloom. :( they can go into limp mode if disturbed. It might have decided it needs to go back to sleep and try again next year.

Oh ok I understand. Should I just let the leaves and flowers drop then trim and dry them? Thank you!!

I had the same problem. I was so sad. It was given to me as a Mother’s Day gift moved it into into the backyard at first and a slight shaded area and then with the rest of the flowers and it’s rained really bad for about a week straight and flowers died

This happened to mine and it said to trim off the heads and their stalks, give it a drink and a week later, another, and then apparently the leaves will feed the bulbs and eventually go yellow and that’s when it’s time to remove them and the plant goes into hibernation and doesn’t need any water until its time to bloom again (but this app tells me to keep watering so might try that). I’m a newbie to these plants though so maybe check out my advice - but this is what I’m going to do!
