What’s wrong with my Christmas cactus? The leaves are droopy and wrinkly, and some are becoming see through. Could it be overwatered?? It’s been at least a week since I watered it and for some reason the soil is still damp… Even though it has drainage holes??

It looks under watered based on the wrinkled, limp and pale leaves. They don’t like the soil to completely dry out.

Even if the soil is still wet from when I watered it last week? I’m just so nervous to over water it 😅

Check that its drain holes are sufficient to not pool water or it’s not sitting in water in a ceramic cache pot. I bought one last fall that arrived damp on top of the soil. It was filled with buds and had opened a bloom the week it arrived. So, I let the soil dry down halfway before watering. It slowly dropped all buds and started to wrinkle. It only started blooming again this month when I just watered it a lot more frequently than I felt comfortable doing. It’s blooming again!

Have you got a moisture meter or maybe a wooden skewer you could you use to check the moisture? X
