Hi all very new to this community and this app. I bought this plant like 2 years ago it seems fine and I was watering very unregularly but now started to get more into plants and this is my current situation with this one. Please let me know your expert advice on how to save it

    Not sure how to save it but snake plants enjoy lots of light and allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Check the root system looking for black rotted roots. If you find that’s an issue, it’s caused by overwatering. Let us know and I’m sure someone will explain a fix.

    Yeah, snake plants definitely thrive on neglect. I have to basically ignore mine so I don’t overwater it 😆

    The plant looks too dry based on the multiple wrinkles in the leaves and the smaller shoots dying off. Thoroughly soak the soil when watering. Let it drain. Then, allow the soil to dry out again.

      It should recover. They are very resilient. Give it bright filtered sunlight. A south windowsill with light filtered through a sheer curtain is good. A grow light within 1 foot is better when it runs at least 12 hours a day. Fertilize starting in spring or use a timed release fertilizer.

      I didn’t realize we need to fertilize the plants… I will research what to give it

    All potted plants need fertilizer. There are too many kinds to choose. I just use standard Miracle Gro blue crystals that I dilute to 50% of the recommended amount. I apply it twice a month with SuperThrive plant vitamins. I use a lot less in winter months or I just stop fertilizing until spring. Many plants have slow growth in winter and need less or no fertilizer until spring.

      Be careful not to get concentrated fertilizer near a small area and burn the roots. Osmocote fertilizer beads is just as convenient and you can evenly distribute the beads. They slowly release fertilizer over 6-9 months. Nurseries add timed release fertilizer to plants be delivery. The photo shows the green fertilizer beads in my Hoya Viola from Gardino Nursery.
