Hi! Has anyone got a way of getting rid of fungus gnats? I’ve tried spraying with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (1:4 with water), and cinnamon on the soil… thanks in advance

Mosquito Bits (Mosquito Dunks) work. Instructions on the package on how to get rid of fungus gnats. It’s made of the beneficial bti bacteria. Soak the bits in the water before you water your plants. Use it every time you water. It works for my 200+ plants. No need for yellow sticky traps once you break the life cycle. I see 1 to 2 fungus gnats a week that come in with the dogs, with the wind or on people. No issues. 🪴🍀

Thank you so much! I will absolutely give this a go! My husband is autistic and cannot cope with them… I don’t want to have to get rid of my plants … I really appreciate your help - thank you x

I second that, I can't get mosquito bits as easily in the UK but I got hold of some dunks and they have worked wonders, paired with sticky traps to catch the adults, tried everything, from peroxide, tannin drops, bottom watering etc, but these definitely work 😄😁

I’ve been using happy happy houseplants death drops and they work!

I comment this on every fungus gnat post lmao. This stuff is meant for aquariums so you only need 1 drop mixed in when watering. It’s completely eradicated my gnat problem

This contains the BTi bacteria as the active ingredient as well. More convenient. What’s the shelf life?

Thank goodness for online shopping - this arrived today so tomorrow those gnats are g going to get it!!! Would you say 1 drop per litre of water would suffice?

I think so! I just poked a hole in the foil on top so I only use one drop at a time

I’ve had the same problem!!!! Diatomaceous earth and check roots of moist plants for yellow solid ball shaped eggs. I’m still seeing one or two every one and a while but this helped get rid of nearly all of them
