My Vanilla plant is turning brown and shriveling up from overwatering, should i cut off the rotted brown parts and let it try to shoot off a new stem?

I would cut it back to healthy tissue so the infection doesn’t spread. The growing tip was broken off mine and it activated two growth points. Never been so glad to be a klutz.

1 me gustaThere will be rotting roots associated with the rotten stem. Be sure to remove all the damaged roots. Rinse the roots with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect.
