WHY IS IT DROOPING WHAT SHOULD I DO its an Epipremnum aureum or N'joy or whatever
Without any information, my first guess would be overwatering. Can you please update your post with a bit more info about its care? Lighting, watering habits, etc!
0 Me gustaive only watered it once since I got it, I’m using soil for outdoor plants so I think that might be the problem. its also kind of dark in my room and there is a slight draft.
0 Me gustaI’d offer up more help but it looks like the others in the comment section here have you covered! 😉
0 Me gustaFirstly I’d check the soil. Is it wet/dry? If dry, water deeply. Soak. Like put the pot into a bowl of water that comes almost to the top of the pot and let it soak for 30-ish minutes. If the soil is wet, and it’s been more than 48 hours since you watered last, then I’d unpot, check the roots for rot, eliminate any you find and repot, making sure the new pot is snug, like only 1” or so larger in diameter than the root ball. Feed with a worthwhile fertilizer. We The Wild Grow Concentrate, and Enrich Powder are my favourites.
5 Me gustathank you!!
1 me gustaDefinitely second Aisha, it’s in too big of a pot for how small the plant is and also the soil mix looks a bit heavy and water logged to me. I recommend going down a pot size and switching to a cactus/succulent soil mixed with some orchid bark and perlite to make almost a dry cereal-like consistency of soil, repot and throw out all old dirt and check for root rot, if there is, trim off the rotten roots and soak in hydrogen peroxide and water for ten minutes before transferring into the new mix and new pot
3 Me gustaI will try that, thank you!!
0 Me gusta- It looks like Pearls and Jade based on all the green specs in the white sections. - Limp leaves and stems can be caused by low light, new environment, repotting, sensitivity to chemicals in tap water, insufficient fertilizer, watering issues and other factors. - - Low Light: Give it 8 hours in a south facing window in winter. Add sheer gauze curtains to filter strong sun. Use a grow light at least 12 hours a day if no sunny spots exist. - - New Environment/Repotting: plants need time to adjust to new locations and having their roots disturbed. It could take a couple of weeks at least. - - Pothos are not typically sensitive to tap water. But, it can happen if your tap water has strong chlorine smell, has rust and is hard with lime and calcium deposits. Use rainwater or filtered water. - - Watering: New pots should only be about 2” wider than the previous pots. I can’t tell from this photo if the pot is too big. I do agree with the previous comments that watering issues can show up as a limp condition. Also, the soil needs more aggregates like perlite to help drainage. 🍀🪴
1 me gustathank you so much! unfortunately the only place I can put it is my room because I don't have my own house and its also winter so it isn't getting enough sun probably. I think different soil would help so I will try that and maybe a smaller pot too
2 Me gustaIt might need a grow light.
0 Me gustaI think I just needed to water it because as soon as I did it started getting better but I did just get a grow light and think it will help a lot! thanks for all of your help
