Is there any way to help a plant who recently had root rot grow back leaves? My last plant was reported a little bit ago and I’m just wondering how to help it, I have a drip feeder which gives all the nutrients the plant needs into the soil, I have noticed the stems turning green a little bit, is that a sign that he’s growing slowly? (Ignore the silly name for him)

Did you soak the roots in a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide after cutting off the rotted roots? That could help prevent the rot from spreading and promote root regrowth

No, since I didn’t have any at the time

The green looks like new growth :) But Peperomia’s like to dry out between watering. I would remove the drip feeder now the plant is showing signs of growth, as you could be setting yourself up for disaster again….

Agreed. Once the soil completely dries out, you can try bottom watering it to help new roots develop straight down to reach for the water. It’ll help prevent overwatering and persisting the root rot. I’d add a few drops of peroxide to the water the first to second time you water to kill any lingering bacteria and help the roots absorb more oxygen. Hope this helps! Good luck!
