Does anyone know what these little black/brown spots are on my ring of fire? This is a fairly new leaf and I looked at this plant yesterday and did not see the spots. It looks like this is the only leaf with them.

I think I might be stumped on this one. I would naturally assume it’s environmental stress. It could also be a fungus/bacteria of some sort but I cannot tell exactly from what. I see lower leaves looking curled, died off, and some other symptoms occurring so I would ask. What type of Light exposure, humidity levels, watering habits, and repotting, or fertilizer have you done to it?
2 Mi piaceIt sits in a south facing window but doesn’t get full light because of tree coverage, it mostly gets bright, indirect light. I water it when the soil is completely dry and I’ve only repotted it once whenever I got it, a couple months ago. I haven’t fertilized it at all and I don’t add any extra humidity to it, just the environment of my house.
0 Mi piaceEverything seems to be good, would leave it how you got it unless it starts to develop more than would try some more light/humidity. Other than that idk, got me on this one lol!
1 mi piaceagree with HS! this is weird, i’ve been mulling this one over and coming up short. If this were my plant I’d do what HS is saying — nothing besides seeing if it spreads. fungal is my best guess. you could try watering with a solution of hydrogen peroxide if you’re itching to do something, but I’d just wait and watch 👀 😎
3 Mi piaceYou could also try a fungicide spray and make sure your soil is draining and not sitting wet too long.
