Wanted to check in with people about my tradescantia. It was sitting in my north facing window, but I think the leaves look crispy like this because they were still getting too much light. I moved them away from the window and I’ve been keeping up with watering. The humidity in here also changed from around 60% to 30% so I figured I’d start using a humidifier. Just someone else to confirm, do we think the browning is from high light? And should I completely cut off these leaves or just leave them?

Probably not a light issue in a north window. Crispy leaves are usually associated with insufficient water. Clay pots pull out water from the soil and dry out the roots. The soil looks like it has separated from the pot. An indication the soil got too dry or inconsistent watering. A humidifier will help in winter.

Mine loves light! It’s south and west facing and is growing like a weed. Increasing humidity and mixing it when it’s not in direct sun can help.
