Hi everyone, I got this brasil philo about a month ago. It seemed to be doing fine but then I noticed a leaf going yellow. I ignored it but then it turned brown and i noticed more leaves seemed to be dying and it just looked sad. I lifted the plant one day to water it (like always) and I noticed yellow fuzzy stuff (probably mold) and a lil bit of some sort of bugs underneath the pot. I cleaned it up, removed the plant from the pot, cleaned the pot, and replanted it and moved it to a sunnier place (southeast windowsill). I’m hoping that it’ll recover but not sure if it’ll do good or not. Here’s pics from when I first got it vs a couple days after I repotted it

Some leaves fell off before I repotted and a couple fell off when I did repot it

Looks like it was in a low light area too long based on the large gaps between the leaf nodes and leaf drop. The pests didn’t help. Treat weekly with neem oil to eradicate any leftover recently born pests. The southeast light should help. Be careful of sunburn. 🪴🍀

I’ve had mold issues too! What’s worked for me is scooping the mold out from the top of the soil. Once that’s gone I sprinkle a little bit cinnamon to the top. Before the cinnamon I spray a mixture of water, neem oil, peppermint and Castile soap, and hydrogen peroxide to the top of the soil as well as wipe the leaves with this mixture and then I just add a little more soil to top of the soil I took. It’s been helping a lot with the mold. Hope this helps!!!!!
