How do I get rid of mold in my plant pots?!? It keeps popping up in my succulent pots, never on the plants themselves, just on the soil surrounding. Sometimes the plants seem perfectly happy coexisting, other times it happens when they’re sick. It’s light gray colored and fuzzy. I’m allergic to mold and have had problems with it in my room in the past. How can I treat this without killing my plants too?
flowerpot parasols! happens to everyone. scoop off the top layer of soil and sprinkle unsweetened cinnamon on it or use neem oil. bottom water to prevent the topsoil from getting too moist. sorry about your allergy, that must suck

1 gilla I googled flowerpot parasol and saw it’s a mushroom, which isn’t what I’m seeing- mine is a fuzzy white mat, no stems no heads. cinnamon and neem still the best way to go?
1 gilla yeas, you're looking at the fruiting body of what becomes a flowerpot parasol. they often don't become full on mushrooms inside of peoples' homes but they're the same fungus

If you are getting mold in succulent pots, you are probably overwatering.
