I think my catnip is dying?? It was doing fine a week ago and growing a bunch. I thought I finally figured out why it wasn’t growing new leaves and it was doing so well 😭 but now a bunch of the leaves are turning brown and shriveling up. Is it fungus, rot? Or is it the coco coir??

The symptoms suggest a problem with watering or drainage, potentially leading to root rot or fungal issues, possibly exacerbated by the coco coir's moisture retention.

I hate this stupid terracotta pot…I never should have bought that catnip growing kit from the store. Can I do anything to help it?

Reduce watering frequency, ensure good drainage, and consider repotting with better-draining soil. Inspect the roots for rot and address the terracotta pot's functionality. Reduce watering frequency. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes.

I tried to let it dry out, but Sadly he was too far gone 😔 I inspected the roots after to figure out what it was and there was no sign of root rot, didn’t smell bad and the only thing I could think of was maybe fungus? There was white stuff all over the top layer but I couldn’t tell what it was
