Idk what to do for these anymore. I got them off Facebook and all the girl had said was she over watered it. Well I didn’t know about root rot until recently. So, I changed her pot and she started doing better…now all of a sudden she is declining again and idk why…I have one of these in water and it’s doing great and even had a new leaf come in but this one I feel like I’m not going to be able to save and I’m really upset about it. Can anyone give me tips on how to save it? I’ve cut back the bad parts and going to let her dry out over night and maybe put her in water instead?

I don’t think it’s shock at all. She had been doing better in the new soil and then all of a sudden declined again. I have her with a grow light as well for 12hours a day and I’ve got a humidifier near her to soak water into the leaves but she doesn’t sit super close to it.

It’s looks like you did a great job getting rid of any bad roots. Plus you cleaned all the soil off. I agree with you on putting it in water for now. They grow roots very quickly. I don’t think you should let the roots dry out. Go ahead and put it into some water. Good luck but it looks like you are doing all the right steps. But check new comments to see if they have better ideas.

Thank you for the compliment!! That means a lot. I’ve heard from other plant ppl on YouTube that it’s good to dry it out so it doesn’t rot more? I’m not sure if that’s just for the big monsteras and such so I’ll look into that more so I don’t dry her out if I don’t need to ☺️

I personally cut off any yellow bits from the stem just incase - weirdly mine (that I grew big in water from barely anything) just randomly declined so I chopped off every single leaf and seeing what will happen!

You’re brave! That’s scares me haha should I cut off the yellow part even if it shows some new growth? I have what looks like another stem trying to form on one of them

That’s not many roots and a big old leaf. Maybe cut the leave in half and plop her in some water and get some roots to grow.
