Hi Everyone 👋 I have a Meyer Lemon tree that I bought from a nursery a couple weeks ago. When I first got it, it seemed like the soil was holding water really well (it is currently still in the nursery pot). However, now it feels like it is completely dry within a couple of hours. I was told to water it twice a week. So here are my questions - 1.) should I repot it into a similar size pot? Maybe a clay pot? Or ceramic? Please note - I live in Kansas and we have extremely harsh winds. I want it to be in a pot so I can take it in if need be! I also want to be able to keep it alive during winter. 2.) If I do repot it, what soil should I use? 3.) How often am I really suppose to be watering it? I feel like the soil it is in now, it to “mulch like” so maybe that is what it keeps drying out so fast? Thanks in advance!!

I found a palm, citrus soil at our local Home Depot. You might find some at a plant nursery also.
