Hi plant friends! My sister has a red aglaonema plant that didn’t look like it was doing well so I took a look at the root ball and it was mostly root rot. I haven’t had success propagating these to grow roots again. Does anyone have advice? I rinsed off the dirt and took off the rotted roots, and then soaked it in a hydrogen peroxide solution. I will cut off the orange ends to fully get rid of the rot. And then let it callus for 24-48 hours. Am I on the right path? Then what?

and then, you wait. you did everything right. now you wait two months for it to start pushing roots lol. these things take forever. if it's not dying it's doing something!

You're so right; it took AGES for mine to root, and they didn't make new leaves for a while even after they did. I just tried to ignore them except for checking their water 😂

My snake plant had the same issue. It may be because it is almost indestructible but took it out of the pot, rinsed the roots and let it dry overnight. Potted the baby with new dry soil and no problems since.
