How do I figure out what is eating my outdoor plants and how to stop it??

    Looks like caterpillar damage. If you enjoy butterflies and moths, you can leave them to munch. If you want to figure out which species is the culprit, you can look for caterpillars (they often hide under leaves) to ID visually, use a site like bugguide or inaturalist to see what species live in your area, and look up what species use that host plant to narrow it down

      They like to eat in the morning before the sun gets strong, so if you're having trouble finding them, try going out early!
