I need help with my drosera, Squidward. He was doing fantastic just a few days ago. He even had beautiful flowers that were opening each day. A few days ago he started having some troubles. Many of his “tentacles” started turning brown. The only change I can think of is the temperature is dropping into the 50 degree Fahrenheit range at night. I started moving him from the window in the evening. I looked around online and I don’t think the 50s is cold enough to kill him, but I only got him this summer so I don’t know. We’ll probably turn the heater on sometime over the next few weeks. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for his care?

When flowering it takes anergy from the leaves, so the leaves go brownish and drop, mine did the same back ago, but after a few weeks perked right back up and went more bushy, just make sure your using distilled or rain water and not tap

Thank you! I didn’t know that! Should I remove the brown or leave it? My plants are so spoiled they only get filtered water from a zero filter. lol

I leave the brown, just Desoves back in to plant , not sure if it gives goodness back into soil to it to reuse
