Can anyone please tell me what we have here? Was not there a week ago- the plant is kept outdoors on my porch for the summer, so I would think insect related.? Thoughts and what should I do to help- it’s got quite a bit of these things! Thank you😔
Yep, spores. You can leave them as is, wipe them off, or try propagating with them

It’s how ferns reproduce. They don’t produce flowers and seeds. They produce spores. If they get the correct conditions, you might get a new baby fern.
