Mushrooms in garden bed A couple of weeks ago, I planted raised garden bed using the Hugelkultur method. Recently, small mushrooms have started growing in certain parts of the bed. Is this something to be concerned about, or can the mushrooms and my plants coexist in peace? If the mushrooms are a problem, how can I get rid of them?

The mushrooms are so cute!!! Ah! They are so cute and tiny! Looks like maybe brittlestem mushrooms? Most likely they came from you using the Hugelkultur method as it involves using decaying wood. I don’t believe it is a problem as they can also help your plants by breaking down some of the organic matter.

Usually mushrooms mean your soil is fertile and healthy, if they seem to be hurting the plant though, that is a problem but I think you’re good to go!
