Omg I’m having the same issue. The leaves are kind of soft

I read the same exact thing, I’m not sure what kind of light that it needs. I put it where it states it should be, but it did poorly, so I loved it and it’s still struggling. I’m thinking maybe I should treat it like a cactus 🫣

いいね 1件I have a ton of Calathea and they are not as hard as people make them out to be, you just have to find the right spot. All of mine are 12-18” from grow lights which are on 12 hours a day and they’re in rooms with humidifiers. I water when the soil is about halfway dry. They have continuously put out new leaves all winter so they’re definitely happy.
いいね 1件It looks very droopy. The edges are crispy. This is my first one so I’m not sure how it’s supposed to look. It was in the clearance at Lowe’s. I went back back this weekend and saw some “newer” that looked more perky
0件のいいねSo Calathea naturally raise and lower their leaves every day. In the mornings the leaves will look “droopy” but it’s just their behavior. The crispy edges are probably caused by low humidity. Adding a humidifier to the room it’s in should prevent other leaves from browning. Also environmental changes affect plants so I wouldn’t be too concerned the first couple weeks while it adjusts.
2件のいいねThanks for this I didn’t know about the droopy thing Should I leave it front of the window or pull it back. I also have a grow light
0件のいいねKinda depends on your area but they don’t like direct light so if you want it in front of a window, it should have a shear curtain to diffuse the light
