I had this same plant and the exact same thing happen but all of the leaves turned yellow and I had to get rid of it. But a friend of mine told me if you are going to keep plants in water and have them near a good light source the container should not be clear, she explained that because plants naturally grow in soil and roots are not exposed to light so sometimes when plants are in clear containers light can be damaging to the roots, causing this and other problems. Ever since then I have kept any plants I've stored in water in a non see through vessel and I've noticed the roots grow faster, bigger, they look healthier and they don't seem to get any slimy film, like algae, on them. I swear by this. I would get rid of the yellow leaf and put your beautiful plant in a non-clear vessel and change the water every week like you normally would. This way you can keep her near a good light source and keep her roots protected.

If you want to keep it in water, I’d get a fertilizer specifically for hydroponic plants.

Mine is next to my bedroom window about 2 feet away. It is thriving but in soil. I have rocks on the top of it to keep moisture in.
