I watered my Devils ivy just a couple of days ago but the top and bottom soil was all dry today so my mom stuck it outside while it rained a bit. Still dry. Do you think it needs to be repotted? I’m using the shake ‘n feed for it and I make sure I water it as directed on here. I have only had it for about a month or so I think. Just want to get it in good health.

      If soil isn’t retaining water I’d definitely switch out the soil! I had same soil for 3 years originally in mine. Second I changed it, it took off! It is interesting tho… Mine usually gets leaves like that from over watering/inadequate sun.

      I didn’t want to leave it on my porch because my back porch isn’t covered so it would be in direct sun, and it’s always like 80 degrees lol my front porch is covered but it’s so covered it hardly gets any sun lol so I leave it right in front of my back, glass doors in my living room. I also keep it like 68 degrees in my apartment. Idk if that makes a difference. No telling when the soil was last replaced. My mom gave it to me and she kinda just buys a lot of plants, waters them and that’s about it LOL

    I would take it out and check the roots! When I purchased my plant, Jade, she was doing horrible. The leaves kept turning yellow and dying off and I would water her repot and provide indirect and direct sunlight but nothing worked. Until I looked at the roots and saw it was supporting to many plants. I then took a few leaves that grew roots and placed them in a separate pot and ever since she had been thriving and began to trail! Sometimes you need to separate some of them because the roots can support the whole plant. Hope this helps ☺️!!

      First pic was in April 22 the second pic was yesterday June 9th. Also don’t forget to trim all those dead leaves as well so your plant can focus more on growing new ones. Water with liquid fertilizer to help encourage new growth!

    She’s a little droopy but still looks amazing! Definitely cut the leaves that are turning yellow so she isn’t putting too much energy trying to fix them. I would also take out a good chunk of the leaves and roots and repot in a different pot so she has space to grow. Hope she thrives!!
