Hello! I live in the north east, and I have a fig tree. It hasn’t been below freezing in a couple weeks, and has actually been around more warm, so we put it outside for the first time in a couple months. However recently, it’s been more wilty? It’s a rather large pot with drainage, so when I see this I usually put a bottle of water. But it still lost a couple leaves, and a couple more turned a little yellow. Update: Ok so it is cold burn, I wasn’t aware fruiting trees don’t like to be under 60. Also, I’ve been watering it too much, and that’s why it’s been wilted lately. So I’m not going to water it for a week or two and see what happens. ALSO there’s centipedes in the soil. So I can’t bring it back in to avoid cold burn. However, I’m going to cover it with plastic wrap to try and keep the rain out and hopefully dry the soil out and get rid of the centipedes so I can bring it back in until May. Do you have any suggestions on what to do to give it its best shot? Please and Thank you!
