Miracle grow cactus and succulent soil is what I use. How I water my nerve plant. Is I water it and saturate it until it come as Out of the bottom. Then I wick all excess water out through the bottom. Keep wicking until it wicks no longer. I’m actually watering Inga right now. Nerve plants can be fickle beasts.

Nerve plants like to get frequent watering, so your issue is probably poor drainage that kept the bottom of the roots too wet. Check for root rot. Trim off any obviously rotting roots plus a 1 inch margin (fungi roots extend past the visible fungus). Treat the remaining roots with hydrogen peroxide or neem oil. Replace all the soil. Use a higher drainage mix at the very bottom of the pot, then fill the rest with potting soil (you can add some perlite to further increase drainage). Watch for further signs of rot as it recovers and re-treat with peroxide or neem if needed (you can treat as often as every other day, but it's gentler on the plant to do it less often)

Also you'll want to wait to trim any dead leaves until it's visibly recovering; nerve plants are known to wilt dramatically when stressed, so half-dead looking leaves may bounce back surprisingly well

I second this; it definitely sounds like you need to repot and check for rot. Good luck!

      This is definitely the truth.
