I recently just received this small money tree in the mail from the friend. Unfortunately, when they packed it, they pushed all of the branches together, causing every branch/stem to be incredibly bent, practically broken. All the leaves are dry and there may be one good limb. It’s gotten progressively worse the last two days and I needed some help on how to and where to prune, and the best course of action from here. Soil was incredibly dry, so I watered it yesterday, and it got some natural sunlight, and is currently sitting in an east facing window. I know it can be saved, but I just need the best plan of attack. I’m not sure where to start with these limbs. Thank you!

Not experienced with this plant but it looks a bit like something I faced with another plant. What I would do: keep it in a sunny spot, focus on getting it as much light as possible. You watered it— don’t water again until the soil top is dry. Prune the leaves that are overly crispy or broken, they may not hydrate again. If the remaining healthy leaves don’t perk up, check the roots for mush or hard chunks that aren’t letting in water, and repot.

By sunny I mean bright indirect light

i would cut off all of the bad leaves and leave the healthy ones and wait for them to perk up. something to keep in mind is most money trees don’t normally have a very deep root system so if the little trunk feels wiggly and insecure its probably fine! it could take a bit to see recovery, but any bad leaves will take the plants energy and slow it down

also if a lot of it ends up dying it will still bounce back! there will hopefully be new growth that is much healther than what is already there
