Just discovered spider mites ughhh. I sprayed everything with a water/neem/alcohol mix, any other tips? I’ve considered beneficial mites but the idea of introducing bugs in my home freaks me out. Please send help and hugs 😭

Take the plant to shower spray or outside with water hose and give it a good spray off then, repot in fresh soil with good drainage, then get cotton balls with 70% alcohol wipe off front and back of all leaves, in tough areas use a q tip, then spray plant really good with neem oil. If the infestation is super bad and you don’t feel like treating it then get rid of that plant. KEEP THIS PLANT ISOLATED for a while from your other plants until you get it under control. Also check any other plants this one has been near.. GOOD LUCK

A way I deal with pest is by using Mosquito Bits on the surface of my plants. I started using them last year and I haven’t seen any at all or had any issues with it.
2 LikesWhere do you buy this stuff? Do you mix it with water?

I know some people mix it with water to make a “tea” but I just lay it right on top of the soil. I ordered my bag off Amazon but it should be at Walmart too!
1 LikeYou use mosquito bits to kill spider mites? Or to kill mosquitoes?
0 LikesI use beneficial predatory spider mites on my calathea plants. I’ve tried neem/alcohol mix and the plant is so sensitive that the leaves react badly. Beneficial mites work for my calatheas
