What soil do you have it in? Thats a lot of watering for the majority of plants, most don’t want water more than once a week at most. It could also be sunburn, my black velvet did a similar thing when I had it in to strong of light
1 gillaIf it’s not sunburn, which can affect the newer leaves more, then, it could be a watering issue as Josie suggested. Watering twice a week sounds excessive. Check for a root bound condition and repot, if needed. I recommend reducing the amount of water it’s getting each week. Verify the soil and plant needs water before watering. Diffuse the sunlight so direct sunlight is not hitting the leaves. A diffuser can be sheer curtains or window film. 🪴🍀
0 gillningarI've been dealing with the same thing recently, & part of me is convinced it's from good humidity, sometimes I check on my plants & they have drops of water on the leaves, & I think that water drop staying there for too long discolors the leaves... but this is all just a personal theory !
0 gillningarIt can def affect the leaves but it’s not just caused by humidity. Alocasias are prone to fungus infestations of water sits on their leaves to long. But the droplet of water at the very tip of the plant is what it does when it’s been overwatered. It’s a way it tries to get rid of excess water that it was takin in from the soil. It won’t actually Keep the plant from being overwatered and generally spots of that size aren’t caused by that and they are usually Much smaller and at the very tips of the leaves.
